It's something that could only happen in the digital age, and we're richer for it...
I just imported a bunch of entries from both my previous blogs at LiveJournal and Blogger. Unfortunately, Vox hasn't yet implemented the ability to import all entries from another blog, so I think I've only managed the last 25 entries from each. It makes for an incomplete-but-fascinating look back at my recent past.
Hopefully, I'll be able to fill in all the blanks later. It'll also be interesting to review some of my previous entries, and blog about what has happened since...

One of the issues in my test-drive of Vox is whether it's better than Blogger. I finally managed to switch over to the new Blogger, and this is what I posted about the comparison over at my Blogger blog.
In a nutshell, I prefer Vox because of the Flickr and Amazon interoperability. But I wish they'd get this composer working with Safari. Firefox is nice, but I still prefer Safari.
Sheesh, why is using the Internet turning me into Goldilocks? Why is it so difficult to find a blogsite, or a browser, that is 'just right'?
Right now I'm not sure if I'm even going to actually start a blog here. This would be the third blog I've started, after my original LiveJournal a few years ago, and then my Blogger one. Neither lasted, of course. The LJ was warm, homely and personal - but not as slick and not easily configurable. Then I started the one at Blogger - it was slick, configurable, but I could never get it to feel like 'me'.
BTW starting this week I'm going to try an experiment. While still blogging whenever the whim strikes me, I'm also going to attempt three regular topical updates per week. These could be longer pieces (like the Ruud one, earlier), going more in-depth, or simply a collection of relevant links/tidbits. Or both.
So what are the three topics? Well, taking a cue from the sub-title of this blog, the regular updates are going to be as follows:
Mon/Tue - Sports...usually United, but also some F1
Wed/Thu - Apple-related stuff, or tech in general.
Sat/Sun - Pop Culture...reviews or whatever.
I've given myself a two-day window for each update. If this works out, I might add other topics (such as Lakers, when the season starts).
Of course, Ryan thingys will continue, as and when he does something especially cute or significant.

Hi, I'm back.
I've actually wanted to restart this blog for months, but typically for me, I kept spending time mulling over how to restart it 'just right', and never actually did it. What finally got me off my butt was reading some of the popular local blogs like Rockson and Xiaxue, which sorta focused my mind on blogging again.
Not that I am going to be anything like those...it's just going to be more of the same old stuff I used to post about: United, Lakers, pop culture, Macs...
OK, maybe there will be one HUGE difference. OK, well, maybe not 'huge' since he is still only 4.5kg and 54.5cm small...
I mean, of course, Ryan.
I think you'll be hearing a lot about him here :-)
